The company boasts a varied slate of projects that includes sketch, performance specials, talk/variety, sitcoms, game show, and competition formats. Push It is uniquely positioned in the entertainment industry as a women owned and operated business with an eye toward diversity in front of and behind the camera.
Push It Productions first burst onto the scene by successfully reviving the NBC comedy competition Last Comic Standing, bringing in its highest ratings in 8 years. Since then, the company has landed projects with ABC, VH1, MTV, OWN, BET, TruTV, and Epix, including the award-winning, Wanda Sykes Presents Herlarious, the critically acclaimed Talk Show The Game Show, and the recently launched Face Value with Deon Cole and Tiffany Haddish.
DANIELLE GHILARDI BIRCKHEAD (COO) has been overseeing various television productions, both domestic and international, for more than a decade. She runs a tight ship, but always with a smile. When your call goes straight to voicemail, there's a good chance you’ll find Danielle at yoga class, dance battling people half her age or rooting for (yelling at) the NY Giants!
CHRISTY SPITZER THORNTON (Head of Creative Development) comes to Push It Productions with 13 years of experience as a senior executive and creative producer. She has lent her talents to Pivot (Senior Vice President of Original Programming), The Peabody Awards, MTV (Vice President of Series Development), Columbia Pictures, Hearst Magazines, Condé Nast, and the It Gets Better Project.
ANGELA PAGE (Accountant) is a military brat born in the United Kingdom, but has lived most of her life in California. She is a tax accountant turned production accountant who has previously worked at DreamWorks Animation and Warner Horizon.
LINDSAY HICKS (Coordinator) is a producer, writer, actor from New York by way of Texas, currently living in Los Angeles. She is known for creating, writing, and starring in The Better Half (Pivot TV) and for her appearances and articles on AfterEllen. Her acting work can be seen in the feature Suicide Kale as well as the digital series, The List (Tello).
RADIA HASSAN (Coordinator), an aspiring writer and TV fanatic, hails from the East Coast. She has worked as a freelance content writer for various travel and lifestyle online publications, and most recently as a teacher assistant at an elementary charter school.
