Founded by Wanda Sykes and Page Hurwitz, Push It Productions’ focus is on producing quality comedy content across all genres for network, cable, and digital outlets.
About Push It Productions
Wanda Sykes and veteran producer Page Hurwitz joined forces in 2013 to form Push It Productions, a full-service production company dedicated to creating quality, comedy-based programming for network and cable television outlets. The company's diverse slate of projects includes sketch comedy, concerts, reality, talk/variety, sitcoms, and competition formats.
With Sykes and Hurwitz’ extensive experience, complementary skill sets, and their deep relationships with talent (comedians, writers, producers, actors, directors), they have been able to establish Push It as a premier player in the comedy space. Unlike any other production company, Sykes and Hurwitz are hands-on producers who actively shepherd each of their projects from conception to delivery.
Push It has a first look production deal with Universal Television, has had an award winning series on OWN, (Wanda Sykes Presents Herlarious) and successfully revived the NBC franchise Last Comic Standing, which premiered in 2015 to its highest ratings in 8 years. Currently, Push It has shows in development with VH1, Universal, and BET. Their new series Talk Show The Game Show is on TruTV.
In the past year, Push It Productions has also ramped up its development by renewing their first look production deal with Universal Television and setting up projects with NBC, USA, CW, MTV, TLC, Telepictures, BET, History Channel, TruTV and LOGO.
