Wanda Sykes and Page Hurwitz joined forces in 2013 to form Push It Productions, a full-service production company dedicated to creating high quality comedy programming that promotes diversity in front of and behind the camera. Sykes and Hurwitz’ extensive combined experience and considerable relationships with comedians and writers gives the company the unique ability to develop original shows across all comedy genres – including sketch, talk/variety, game and competition, sitcoms, stand up specials, and documentary comedy.  Since its inception, the company has landed projects with Netflix, NBC, BET, Epix, OWN, Fox, and TruTV, including the award-winning original series Herlarious, the critically acclaimed Talk Show The Game Show, and the groundbreaking series that Hurwitz created for EPIX, Unprotected Sets.

Push It's newest series, The Upshaws, co-created and starring Sykes, can be seen on Netflix and was just renewed for a second season. Push It's other Netflix series, Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready was nominated for an Emmy award and recently premiered its second season. The company's signature comedy specials are also currently streaming on Netflix and have received an unprecedented number of nominations and awards. Fortune Feimster’s breakthrough performance in Sweet & Salty earned her a Critics’ Choice Awards nomination in 2021. While Welcome to Buteaupia,  which Hurwitz directed, won the 2021 Critics’ Choice Award for Best Comedy Special. Sykes' Not Normal received Emmy and Image Award nominations. And, Tiffany Haddish’s special, Black Mitzvah, was nominated for an Emmy Award and won the 2021 Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album.
